Product Review : Tony Moly Fresh Aqua Cooling 24 Eyes Stick

Hello hello! Here I am, blogging around midnight again. Have been busy the past weeks with work and various birthdays. Can't believe the number of September babies I know!

I went to Korea last year and purchased a product I had meant to review but forgot about :x I meant to review it! I swear, even the pictures are taken in the hotel room~

Take a look :D

I'm really no expert when it comes to the ingredients so... Be your own judge yea. OR just try the product out at the store to get the feel of it!

Comes in a short little tube.

With a plastic stopper that protects the product

Looks familiar? I've reviewed a similar product HERE but the product for this is a milky blue color.

What I think of this product :

Unlike the Etude House Eyes Cream that I reviewed previously, this does NOT claim to be an eye cream. It's described more as a simple "pick me up" product for the eyes, hence the 24 in the product name. You can apply this handy little eyes stick anywhere, anytime as long as your eyes are feeling tired and need a little boost. If you're looking for a proper eye cream, skip this. However as a pick me up eyes stick, it's just lovely. It's really cooling and refreshing on the skin. It has a very light minty floral-ish scent. My sister bought this as well and she spams it. She carries this around the house and reapply constantly while doing her homework / studying. (Am not sure if she brings it to school) It helps make her more awake due to the cooling effect.

For me, I've gotten pretty lazy so I no longer bring a make up pouch out. Which means if I were to use this over my made up face... My dark eye circles will show through. Instead I use this in the mornings when I'm feeling really sleepy or like now, when I'm blogging late in the night.

I forgot how much this costs though as I bought this in Korea. I do remember it being extremely cheap but that's Korea. Everything's OP in SG :x You can check this out in stores though, I believe there's an outlet at Bugis!

*This product performs almost identically to the Etude one so if you opt for that as an alternative if Tony Moly one is not available or not as accessible or cheaper! I honestly do not know which is cheaper but personally I'd just get whichever is nearer to me cause I am a lazy bum.

Scent : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Nothing very attractive or negative about this scent)
Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (It absorbs quickly and is extremely cooling on the skin, similar to the Etude one)
Effectiveness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Instant boost and hydrates eye area a little)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (I still love such handy products :D)

Cheers,
Domo ❤

Disclaimer : I bought this with my own money in Korea!

Product Review : SANA Esteny The Massage Cool

Annyeong! I'm back from Korea and just seeing our new blog layout, I feel super motivated to blog~ It's so girly and soft now plus we spent an entire day doing it yesterday. I really love it! What do you all think xD

I'm gonna do a Korea trip post of course but because I have not finished compiling the piccies, those will have to wait awhile! In the mean time, here's something that I've been using for a little while after getting back form Korea.

Firstly when we go on overseas trip with a tour guide, there's always a whole lot of walking isn't it? Well I guess for most people, it's sitting in the bus till their butt hurts. Mine however involved climbing a lot of stairs, walking, and even climbing a mountain :/ I did some ski-ing too and that really made my entire body ache. So in a sense, despite enjoying my trip, I came back physically exhausted.

So when I received this product, I used it immediately!

Presenting SANA Esteny The Massage Cool~

Here's the back of the product but I can't read Japanese much at all. So here's the details of this product taken from SANA's Facebook :

"Esteny The Massage Cool: For Slimming Of Legs!!

Gingers oil extract and Green Coffee formulated. Direct targeting on fats & poor circulation. With Cool-massaging-effect and refreshing aroma.

A combination of skin-toning and helps swollen legs. Excellent for tired legs! Ginger extract and Green Coffee are combined. Cool feeling helps reverse blood circulation through legs.Non rinse-off type. Fresh apple & Ginger fragrance."

On the back of the product, it shows you how you should massage your legs.

"Before sleep, apply generous amount to legs. Work way up from sole to ankle and knee with massaging motion. After usage, rinse hand with water." - Directions from SANA's Facebook

So here's how the product looks like. A milky and very slightly blueish kinda gel. This is just to show you what the product looks like. If I'm lazy, I tend to use this sort of like a moisturizer :x A quick application before bed. However if I were to massage, I used A WHOLE LOT of this product. Why so? As it's a gel, it absorbs really quickly into the skin. If you wish to massage your legs, you must ensure that your legs are still "slippery" with the product so you wouldn't be tugging on your skin.

Although this product contains ginger oil, I couldn't detect it. It smells like... You know there's this powder that feels icy on the skin? We used to call it "snake powder". But for the record though guys use it more often than girls, I love that scent :x This smells like that with a hint of citrus.

My say on this product is that... This product is like yoko yoko for ladies. Here's a picture of it for those of you who don't know yoko yoko.

It has that cooling and very "shuang" feeling after application BUT it helps to moisturize the legs at the same time. It does soothe the leg ache but I have not really noticed any significant slimming effect. Why use this over yoko yoko? Because of the scent! I use this in the day before and it smells better than the herbal medicine smell that yoko yoko has. But TBH Idk if you should use this on anywhere else other than your legs. Better to follow instructions.

All in all, this is a nice product to have but it is not a must buy in my case... If you're one who likes to indulge and pamper yourself a lot, you could give this a try!

Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (Absorbs really quickly, but too quickly that it's a little hard to massage.)
Effectiveness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Stars off for the slimming because I really did not see it.)
Scent : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (I find this scent really appealing to me though.)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (To splurge or not to splurge? I'll leave it up to you after reading the review!)

And goodbye for now my Domokies! Am off to my grandma house to have an early birthday celebration!

Cheers,
Domo

Product Review : Etude House Eye's Cream in Vanilla Moist

If you've read the announcement area, you'd have seen that I promised to be reviewing an eye cream today! I'm keeping my promise so here it is!

Today's product,

The Etude House Eye's Cream in Vanilla Moist! Don't be fooled though, it's not your average kind of eye cream. I'll show you why later.

There you have it, the ingredients list along with the instructions and description. There's the oh so popular hyaluronic acid to help moisturize! Also, see the many citrus-ish ingredients this product contains? They help to awaken your eyes and you can definitely sniff it to "freshen" yourself up too.

The directions you should apply your eye cream...

The packaging is very cute isn't it, the shape of the ice cream is there for a reason, at least that's what I interpret because the eye cream is as cool as ice cream!

Yeap that's right, this isn't your traditional eye cream. It's not your usual roll on eye serum either. In fact, some of you may find this product similar to this :

Image taken from nordstrom
Very similar right? Of course there's a price difference. The Etude House one is retailing at $22.90 UP whereas the Kiehl's one is retailing at $45 UP!

You can buy two of those Etude House ones with the same amount of money as opposed to the Kiehl's one!

But then when there's dupes, everyone starts wondering if the high end one is better so let me review mine for you :D

When you uncap it, there's this little plastic stopper thing that I believe is there to prevent any accidental smooshing of the product onto the lid? And of course prevent the product from coming into contact with any germs.

Remove that plastic stopper and you get this shiny gel like stick!

This eye cream works like a lipstick, turn it out and then apply to eye area!

What I think about this product?

This product says that it's supposed to be an eye cream, but do not be mistaken my dears, your eyes will shrivel and get wrinkly if this is your only eye product. I'm not saying it sucks, nor am I saying it's perfect. It's like a luxury product, it gives your eyes a temporary boost of coolness and moisture, refreshing it.

It works just like the Kiehl's depuffer, it moisturizes and lowers the temperature of your eye area by a teensy bit so that you'll feel more awake. You can feel a layer of moisture on your undereyes after using this and you can choose to leave it to evaporate but personally I prefer patting it in. I prefer bringing this out to freshen up my eyes just because this little stick is soooo handy. Just dump it in my mu pouch and go! You can use this over make up if you're not afraid of it smudging your make up. I personally don't care because I can touch up but I will clean off the top layer of the cream if I use it on my made up face. I also enjoy using this late at night when I'm rushing reviews for Domokie!

This is something I'd consider great for touch up and definitely worth purchasing if you have to extra cash to spare. What's more, it's on discount now and it's only $18.30! So why not give it a go when you pass by Etude House outlets?

Scent : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (I consider this a very normal orangey scent along with a tinge of vanilla.)
Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (It absorbs quickly and is extremely cooling on the skin)
Effectiveness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (It hydrates a little but it's temporary, awakens tired eyes~)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (I recommend buying one to carry around for touch ups!)

Cheers,
Chiharu ❤
