A Ringo A Day: SQ's Face

A while ago, one of our colleagues had to leave for NS, and this was what happened to the whiteboard two weeks after:

All in good-natured fun, of course~ Haha have I told you guys that I love my workplace? (Okay I have already done that like 100++ times already, haven't I?)

Super random post, but I couldn't resist... : 0

And following the words of Dave Eggers, a disclaimer: "Any resemblance to persons living or dead should be plainly apparent to them and those who know them."

A Ringo A Day: Universal Studios Trip

Kinda late, but finally an update on the Universal Studios Trip last Monday! I haven't been to Universal Studios before (I know, suagu kid), so I took quite a bit of 'reference' photos for the first few hours or so. Unfortunately we were supposed to leave our belongings in the lockers for some of the rides (majority of the more exciting rides, really), so I didn't take much photos afterwards.

Disclaimer: Taken with a phone camera so the quality isn't that good, and posted in no particular order (because I took them in no particular order).

We went in at around 10+am, a little later due to an unexpected traffic jam. And guess what we took first?

Battlestar Galatica~!
(The Human side first, and then the Cylons.)

Have any of you watched the series? I suppose I'm more of a (casual) Trekkie & Starwars fan, but man, if I have the time, I wanna catch Battlestar Galatica and Doctor Who as well. : 0

I love sci-fi stuff!

This was the entrance towards the Egyptian themed part of the park.
After that we proceeded to take the Mummy ride, which was pretty interesting as well. Basically we went in early and took all the exciting rollercoaster rides first, had lunch, and proceeded to take the slower rides. It was super hot that day, so we bought a lot of water amongst ourselves.

Seriously it's too hot for any popcorn man! It felt as if an unpopped kernel would explode into a fluffly popcorn just by lying on the sidewalk. I still love the design of the vehicle though.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Lights, Camera, Action was pretty cool as well, though unlike with rollercoasters, it doesn't have much of a replayability?

Kung Fu Panda! We all thought his face was scary.

Frankenstein and its bodyguards.
There was also a Marilyn Monroe but it was a rather unsuccessful attempt?

Not for hire, unfortunately.

Neither was this operational.

This window display was pretty awesome.

Even the lights are cool.

But the most important thing is still the fans.
I took the rollercoaster rides a total of around 9 times I think. The place is rather small to have a huge variety of rides. But for those who haven't been there before, I think it's worthwhile to go with your family/ friends when the tickets are on sales!

A Ringo A Day: How I Eat My Fries

Today I joined the gaiz at the office for their Thursday run (they religiously go running every Tuesday & Thursday), and realized how unfit I am. OTL

The imbal ones ran two rounds, and the more chui ones like me ran and walked one round and went back to the office to game instead. D:

Played Marvel vs Capcom 3 and got seriously pwned!

The game screen gets a little messy with all the 3D elements, and the gameplay is a little slow compared to Street Fighter 4. But it's still fun to see characters like Amaterasu from Okami, Deathpool and Dante on the same screen.

And well, back to the topic at hand: how I eat my fries.

I love to eat it with lots of pepper and a bit of tartar sauce on top. It looks better and taste better.

Of course, I only do that to Macdonald's fries, because on their own they suck. They mostly taste bland, salty and mass-produced. I love their shaker fries though.

So that's all for today. I actually quite like the interior design of the new Macdonald's outlets.

A Ringo A Day: All my base is belong to Darth Vader

A few posts ago, I mentioned that I managed to sneak Darth Vader onto my work place's CPU yeah? And now, here be proof!

Darth Vader is too big to fit on top of my flat LCD monitor, so he shall watch me draw from the sidelines. I sometimes sacrifice newborns to him in hope that he will grant me special drawing powers.

Ignore the green apple pencil sharpener. I know it's terribly out of place but it's the only one I have. : c

Darth Vader is bigger than my Magnum20! The office guys gave me a black sketchbook, black eraser and black pencils for work. Design people really like black a lot, don't they?

Join the dark side as well!
