Product Review : Lip Ice Sheer Color in Strawberry and Shimmer

Long time no review! Okay actually it's just been a day. I've a new job so it's harder to post everyday especially when I'm not allowed the use of anything! I do sneakily use my phone but that's it. It's the only thing small enough to use discreetly~

So I'm back with a post on getting nice juicy lips!

This post is going to be lengthy because there's two products I'm going to review :) So sit back, have a drink, relax and read through this post!

I'll be reviewing strawberries first~

This is the Lip Ice sheer Color in Strawberry, formulated with natural beeswax!

The back of the packaging...

Here's the description along with the ingredients list as always!

Box out!

Cap off!

As you can see, it's just a white stick of balm. Seems pretty hard and solid doesn't it?

This is how you tell the Strawberry one apart from the Shimmer one. I swear they look almost identical, you'll see latter!

When swatched on the arm, it appears to be a super sheer pink shade. Seems so blah, so not eye catching, so not interesting. But... Did you know that Lip Ice Sheer Color changes it color according to the color of your lips? So we can't judge the arm swatch! We have to see it on the lips!

My lip's aren't always this bad. Their condition fluctuates with my health. Yes, I'm in poor health lately, stress is building, problems are accumulating and my physical health is failing. Okay I'm being dramatic, I'm not dying, just down with flu. So all of those mentioned leads to me having a set of pale unsightly lips!

Can you see how juicy pink they are afterwards? It's brighter in RL and buildable. So if you want a sheer wash like mine, just apply a nice thin coat. If you want a bolder pink shade, just slap more of it on! This is a sponsored review but I swear I'm loving this. In the past I actually didn't like Lip Ice very much because even though they were specially formulated with SPF, I specifically hated the SPF. I don't like the scent or taste of it which is why I was SOOOOO relieved when this product is formulated without!

I'm really loving the color along with the delicious strawberry scent! I'm seriously madly in love, this color fades like a tint to and does not leave stains on your cup! It's very long wearing and I can so totally imagine wearing this for a classy dinner because it won't embarrass you when you drink~ Stain free :D It's naturally glossy so you don't have to top up any! Well unless you're those that adore extremely shiny and slick lips!

Not only that, it's really really moisturizing~ From sick person to bubbly person! Lips play a great part in brightening up your face especially when you like to do neutral make up like me. All it takes is a juicy pop of color on your lips and you're set to go!

Now randomly moving on to the Shimmer one!

Now presenting the Lip Ice Sheer Color in Shimmer~ Call me sua ku or something but I liked that shimmery sticker so much that I stuck the sticker in my CandyDoll compact =/

The back of it...

The description and ingredients list AGAIN! But they're different okay ;) Read carefully!

See what I mean? It's a totally different picture but the Shimmer one looks exactly like the Strawberry one isn't it?!

Can you spot the slight difference now?

The balm is a pinkish white stick along with some pink shimmers? I can't really capture the shimmers because they reflect light and just appear as white flecks in pictures.

If you own these two balms, make sure you check the sticker label to grab the right color!

Personally, I think that they upped the shimmer factor for this but the glossiness factor seems to be reduced? It's not as glossy as the previous one. It's actually around the same pink shade, minus the glossiness, plus the shimmers. They're once again reflected as white flecks in the picture and I'm sorry that my camera isn't good enough!

This Shimmer one glides on as smoothly as the Strawberry one despite the shimmers and it moisturizes the lip really well too. However... It smells like nothing. I couldn't really smell or taste anything from this. That's not a bad thing for most but I seriously prefer to use scented products? But that's just me, I also happen to prefer gloss over shimmers because sometimes the shimmers stay too stubbornly on the lips!

Also, if you've noticed, I've stopped photoshopping my pictures : | Yes, I'm born with naturally lop sided lips. I don't love my lips, but they're still mine and I have to make do with it!

Product Review : Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips in #01 Shiny Pink Shower

I've been doing at least one post a day and will be doing more FOTDs soon! I have quite a number of upcoming events so I'll be dolling up which is why there will be FOTDs! I'm not sure if anyone likes FOTD posts but if you do, please let me know so I'll know what you girls/guys prefer~

And as usual, let's get on with the review for today's product, the Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips in #01 Shiny Pink Shower.

Firstly, this isn't a Jap product. It's from Korea, but isn't the packaging just adorable too? But pink is still my thing so if it were all pink I'd probably fall deeper in love~

The description and instructions...

My shade! Yes, my table has huge pores. It came like this!!!

After taking it out from the box... Pretty cute right? The orange bows with white polka dots!

Love the font. I'm a sucker for anything pretty and curvy.

This is the seal! Make sure you only turn out 1-2mm worth of product at one go, you wouldn't wanna overdo it!

See that sweet sweet pink~ Those white spots are shimmers, they reflected light and hence looked like that.

A swatch of it! It's gonna sound weird but I'd describe this product as a gloss stick instead? It feels like one.

L - Without / R - With

Do NOT penalize my ugly lips!

Like I said, I think this is more a gloss stick than a lipstick. It's very slick and smooth. In fact, the product melts upon touching my lips! It's rather moisturizing but a little too thin for me, I don't mean that it's sheer, it's more of slightly uneven. Unless your lips are nicely plumped and moisturized. It smells like tangerines/oranges but personally their previous peach scent! Also, because this is something really slick, it slides around quite a bit and disappears quite easily. I recommend this more for people with dry lips because it's more hydrating. However if you're looking for something that's long wearing, you might want to skip this.

Personally, I feel that this pink is something very safe, something that everyone can pull of because a little bit of your natural lip color still peeks through. It's more cool toned though so if you're quite warm, it may look a little ashy on you. There are four more colors excluding this one in case this doesn't suit you!

It's currently available at all Etude House outlets for $24.90 if I'm not wrong, and there's a 20% off on it now!

Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (I really like how it glides on so smoothly and how moisturizing it is!)
Pigmentation : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Average, not too sheer but not very pigmented either.)
Lasting power : ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ (The "wetter" it is, the easier it'll fade!)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (I like it and would consider other colors~)

Cheers,
Chiharu ❤

Product Review : Melliesh Cheek Color in #03

What a warm afternoon eh? It's super hot now and once again, yes, I'm camping at home and doing reviews for my lovelies~ The weather makes me really cranky though but I'm happy because I've received some really unique products from a certain company yesterday! I'll reveal the products 7 days later when I'm done testing it!

Moving on to the product that I've already used, the Melliesh Cheek Color in #03.

Yes, you can ooohhh and ahhhh at the pretty packaging again. How can girls NOT love it? You have cupids, floral prints, ribbons and lace! Of course, let's not forget Yui's pretty face that's there for you to admire and droll over~

You can see the price tag here, I bought this from John Little's Stardust outlets.

That's the ingredients list, and I really love how it is so recently manufactured! Means I won't have to be rushing my usage!

I promise you the picture is not blurry okay, it's because of the shadows! And yes, you have this nice gold lacy prints? I'm not sure how to describe them though. Lace? Ribbons?

The back of the blush...

Ta-da! Looks likes a really cool toned pink right? Before you worry about cool toned pinks not matching your skin tone, remember how my lighting is fluorescent and how my camera dislikes picking up any hint of warmth in my pictures?

Once again, great product from Japan!!! No I'm not really obsessed with Japan. Okay maybe a little. Nah, who am I kidding. I LOVE JAPAN. Food, beauty, fashion, nearly everything. And this blush? Me love too! It''s definitely not disappointing and I love my pinks. Firstly, it's finely milled. Secondly, it doesn't make you look like a disco ball despite having shimmers in it. Thirdly, this is super affordable. I'll share the deal with you later okay?

Top - Blended / Bottom - Swatch

That's what it looks like, but not exactly either. It's more of a bright pink with subtle yellow undertones so the warm toned people can wear this too. The shimmers are extremely fine and not visible in this case, so usually it won't be visible once you blend it out on your cheeks. It has silver shimmers if my eyes aren't failing me because it's sooooo tiny. So people with pore problems, you don't have to worry.

Truly, there's not much I can say about a blush right? Let me show you what it looks like on my cheeks. Prepare to be blown away by a picture that looks super not like me!!!

No, I did not get a nose job, it's just the shadows, my puffy lids and lighting playing around with my fatty nose! See that beautiful pink on my cheeks? It's not really that cool toned right? A little peachy in fact, but that's because my skin is quite yellow, so pink plus yellow = peachy. Somewhat.

Love the pink! And what's on my lips? The cute lollipop lipgloss I reviewed awhile back! I love my eye make up that day.

You can see the color on my cheeks clearly here, and my eye make up too! But don't laugh at my lack of nose bridge~

Also, one first glance, one may think it is a dupe for Candydoll's blush that I reviewed too. Here's a little bit of comparison pics to show you how they are not the same!

Just comparison pics! Let me know if you'd like a CandyDoll Strawberry Pink VS Melliesh #03!
I forgot to mention that these are actually on 20% off now at John Little's Stardust so it's only about, $19.80 or so? Please try one while you can!

Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Once again, thumbs up Japan, super finely milled!!!)
Pigmentation : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★(It's pigmented for sure, but not in-your-face kinda color.)
Application : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Dab, pat, buff and you're done!)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (This is on my love list too! Please try one~)

Cheers,
Chiharu ❤

Product Review : CandyDoll Lipgloss in Macaroon Pink

This is something that's hard to find in SG, yet highly desired.

It's the CandyDoll Lipgloss in Macaroon Pink!

I don't have the outer packaging for this because I dumped it!

Their usual striped design!

Hm, I don't like the stopper of this gloss. It didn't prevent the gloss from smearing all over the wand.

This is the applicator! Your typical doe foot applicator. Picks up a sufficient amount of gloss each time round.

That's the swatch of the gloss. It's an extremely pigmented milky pink gloss. This is supposedly the improved version as opposed to previous CandyDoll glosses because it's now a combination of lip concealer + gloss.

Here's the ingredients list :

"Apple diisostearyl Toriisosutearin polyglyceryl Poriisobuten -2 hydrogenated dextrin palmitate dimethylsilyl silica hyaluronic acid Na · tocopherol simethicone Wed microcrystalline mica iron oxide titanium oxide (+/-) 4 - red - yellow - 202 203 - 226 red - borosilicate carmine red (Ca / Na) · (PET / methyl methacrylate) laminated Haidorogenjimechikon Dimethicone" - Extracted from Shoponblog.

Please do NOT purchase from them though, their prices are super overpriced. Trust me, I've been to Japan. If you must purchase this, scroll down to continue to the end where I share my preferred seller.

This is the lipswatch. I don't really need to say more do I..? I really wanted to like this lipgloss but unfortunately, it's too thick and sticky for me. On the plus side it would mean that it'd stay on a lot longer than most glosses. This gloss does NOT work on dry chapped lips. If you've many fine lines on your lips, it will show. Most definitely like what you see in the lipswatch.

I'm not a photoshop professional and I prefer to be honest in my reviews. And TBH, I really wanted to love this. Unfortunately it's too patchy on me and it really dries out my lips and makes them peel. There's no scent or taste.

You can get this from blingalways.com if you really want to. I personally wouldn't advise this unless you have naturally smooth and plump lips.

Glossiness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (It's not something I'd consider as very glossy.)
Pigmentation : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (It's totally opaque.)
Lasting power : ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (Adheres to your lips like MAD)
Overall : ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I don't like it because it's patchy on me and emphasizes all the flaws of my lips.)

Cheers,
Chiharu ❤

Product Review : Chupa Chups x Kiss Me Lipgloss in Strawberry Cream

While all of you are reading this, I'm probably at work which means this was a scheduled post! I'm going to be reviewing something really yummy!

It's two of most people's favorite.

Strawberries...

And cream!!!

Add them together and you'll get...

Image taken from google.images

:D I was kidding!

When Chupa Chups and Kiss Me decided to have a baby, they had the Strawberry Cream lipgloss!

Strawberry and cream, makes me really hungry.

Pop it out and see how cute it is? It's shaped to resemble a lollipop!

Your typical lollipop packaging~

The very special applicator. It's a flexible plastic applicator that prevents gloss wastage and gives precision when applying!

I'm not sure if you can tell but the applicator's actually flat!

So as you can see, it's a really sheer milky pink gloss with golden shimmers in it. The shimmers aren't super fine but they're not exactly chunky either. You can't really feel them on your lips unless the you have very sensitive lips? They don't really add any color to your lips at all, more like a clear gloss with shimmers. It however brings out the pink tinge in my lips so it looks healthier?

See what I mean? The shimmers aren't in-your-face and my lips are ever so slightly more pink. It's glossier too~ Please excuse my lips' warped shape okay. I don't really like how it's uneven so please don't criticize them further!

This lipgloss is NOT sticky at all and that also means it wouldn't last very long on your lips. Think of it this way, the more sticky your gloss is, the longer it lasts and vice versa. Because it's not sticky, it doesn't dry and peel my lips as much. Maybe slight drying up of lips but not really till the point of peeling.

Scent wise, I ADORE IT. It smells like strawberries and cream. Of  course if you're unsure you could always swing by your nearest Watsons to sniff it! I think this is priced at $14.90 so it's pretty affordable? For the cuteness of it, please try one at the very least! Will be reviewing the other flavors once I bear to open them!

Glossiness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Average shine, not over the top. Very subtle but still noticeable.)
Pigmentation : ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (This is a goner pigmentation wise but I still love it!)
Lasting power : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (Average, like most unsticky glosses~)
Overall : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (I love this for the packaging, scent and how it doesn't peel my lips)

Cheers,
Chiharu ❤
