Product Review : SexyLook Amethyst Polyphenols Hydrating Double Lifting Mask (SexyLook 保濕柔敏紫晶雙提拉面膜)

VERY SORRY FOR THE LACK OF POSTING MY DOMOKIES! Today, I'm finally back in action with a SexyLook Hello Kitty Mask! Once again, the name is A HANDFUL. It's the SexyLook Amethyst Polyphenols Hydrating Double Lifting Mask and boy is the name long. The Chinese name is hard to remember too because it's just as long, the 保濕柔敏紫晶雙提拉面膜. You gotta love their names, it's so unique but I generally call it the SexyLook purple HK mask.

The packaging, is AWESOME. I believe all who love HK will adore this packaging.

SO CUTE RIGHT? And the best part is, for different "flavors", the kitty comes with different color packaging and ribbon! I was sold immediately by the packaging ;)

I cannot argue. This photo is freaking ugly. Why so? I tell you my face nearly burst out of the mask. IT WAS SO TIGHT. I tried stretching it but it's just not as big as the normal SexyLook ones!!! I seriously wanted to love the mask but...

My ears hurt. Hurts like mad. It was soooooo tight. Imagine this for around 15-20 minutes!!! Such a pity though, HK is one of my favorites.

Here's what the mask looks like when spread out. Looks alright but I can't take it on my face. Maybe HK masks are meant for people with smaller faces?

The mask was simply dripping wet with this clear essence and this was from the remaining liquid in the packet okay, there's a lot to spare. Strangely, it emulsifies when rubbed together. I have no reasonable explanation for that.

Here's a before and after. Honestly, there isn't much to say about this mask. The essence is easily absorbed and it is apparent from the picture above that it does help in brightening my face. HOWEVER, the torturing my ears part just isn't worth it. I mean, there're a lot of mask that can hydrate and brighten your face, even the original SexyLook ones will do. Why torture myself? Of course if you have a small petite face, feel free to try this.

I don't know how to describe the scent of this mask but it's a weird floral scent that I didn't like because it reminded me of toilets. What's even weirder is that the essence of this mask, is SWEET. No I didn't eat it, I was licking the corners of my lips and accidentally tasted it. So gross.

Texture : ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (Nth wrong with it, absorbs quickly and isn't sticky)

Effectiveness : ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ (It's just alright.)

Scent : ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I don't like it at all.)

Overall : ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ (I didn't like it, but that's just me. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with big face like mine though.)
